What We Believe

The Word

We believe that all Scriptures comprised of Old and New Testament: through the divine influences of the Holy Spirit, perfectly guided the Biblical writers who wrote the inspired, infallible and authoritative word of God: which is the only rule of faith and practice.

God

We believe in one true God: who has created all of heaven and earth; who has revealed himself eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit; and yet who is one in being, power and glory.

Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, the incarnation that he is Lord, the son of the living God. We believe that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and He is truly God and truly man.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the deity and personality of the Holy Spirit. That it is the third person of the God Head, we call the Trinity. He is the agent by whom all believers are born again (baptized) into the body of Christ. He is the seal by whom the Father guarantees the salvation of believers unto the day of redemption.

Humanity

We believe that mankind was originally created by God in His image. We believe that because of Adam’s fall into sin, marred God’s image, plunged all of creation into a state of depravity and made it impossible for man to save himself.

Salvation

We believe that personal salvation of the repentant sinner is a gift of God’s grace through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross, which produces a life of joy, peace and hope in Christ and “the Abundant Life”.

The Church

We believe in the (local church) as the primary instrument of God in the earth and the Great Commission is the primary mission of the church. We accomplish this through prayer, fellowship and the ministry of the word.

We believe that the Church, the body of Christ "the called out ones" are called out of sin into salvation through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe in the ordinance of water baptism by immersion as a response of obedience of the believer to the command of the Lord.

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, promised by God, the Father, to empower believers to be witnesses for and about Christ.

We believe that speaking in other tongues is an initial manifestation of the Baptism with the Holy Spirit, that every believer has a right to expect.

We believe that the miraculous gifts of the Spirit are to operate in the local church until Christ returns.

Things to come…End times

We believe that Jesus will return in the second coming. On the Last Day, there will be a physical resurrection of the dead, both believers and non-believers, and after this, the judgment. The righteous will receive their reward and the wicked will be punished.

The Apostles' Creed

We believe in God, the Father Almighty,

Creator of heaven and earth,

and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord:

Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,

born of the virgin Mary,

suffered under Pontius Pilate,

was crucified, dead, and buried;

He descended into hell.

The third day He arose again from the dead;

He ascended into heaven,

and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;

from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit;

the Christian Church;

the communion of Saints;

the forgiveness of sins;

the resurrection of the body;

and the life everlasting.

Amen.
